CSI (Specialities) Ltd is the sole UK Agent for OY SWM-Wood Ltd from Finland.
CSI (Specialities) Ltd represents one of the first Finnish companies to be involved in the manufacture of thermally modified timber. Working closely with SWM-Wood in Finland, CSI (Specialities) Ltd can notify and advise their clients on availability, quality and market trends, allowing their customers to make informed choices for their construction and manufacturing projects.
Through its hybrid stock model, CSI (Specialities) Ltd is able to offer competitive pricing on forward orders and direct ex-mill shipments, while also supplying pack-lot quantities from landed UK stock to support customers' just-in-time delivery requirements.
With their background in Siberian larch, CSI (Specialities) Ltd now focuses on alternative timber cladding products, in particular Thermally Modified Timber from OY SWM-Wood in Finland, for which they hold the sole agency for the UK and Ireland.
Their experts focus on building strong partnerships with importers/merchants providing their customers with the best quality thermally modified Pine, Spruce, Radiata, Fraké and Ayous. They hold landed UK stocks at our facility in Goole, which is supported by additional stock in Finland, allowing them to offer prompt delivery to service just in time requirements.
Company policy is to supply sawn timber only so that they do not compete with their customers, their UK stocks are extensive, and they can offer packs, part loads or full loads for collection or delivery nationwide. All the material they supply carries third party certification from internationally recognised schemes.
In addition to thermally modified timber, they also stock European larch and through their partner in Germany, have access to Western Canadian Larch and Douglas Fir.
