This project highlights our bespoke anti-slip decking service, delivered for a specialist installation at English Heritage’s Grimes Graves site.
The decking was manufactured using Accoya® timber, chosen for its long service life, dimensional stability and suitability for demanding external environments. To meet the project’s safety and performance requirements, GripDeck® anti-slip inserts were factory-applied to the contractor’s exact specification.
This installation is a good example of how we support contractors where standard stock products are not suitable. Our bespoke service allows us to manufacture anti-slip decking boards to precise requirements, including board size, timber species, insert positioning and slip-resistance performance — helping reduce on-site work, maintain consistency, and simplify installation.
By delivering fully finished, ready-to-install boards, we help contractors achieve compliant, durable anti-slip solutions while keeping programmes efficient and predictable, particularly on complex or sensitive sites.
